SSVE Legislative Government Affairs Support

One of IARP's primary strategic goals is to serve as a key stakeholder on legislative, regulatory, and policy issues impacting the career development of rehabilitation professionals.  IARP continues to support those efforts through committee involvement, including stakeholder engagement and communication as well as strategic development.

The Social Security Vocational Experts (SSVE) fee schedule has remained relatively unchanged since 1979. In April 2009, after 30 years, the fees were increased by 10% as a result of meetings with IARP-SSVE—this is just a start. We invite you to support the SSVE LGA efforts where government affairs experts, D.C. insiders and other professionals will advocate on our behalf, leveraging their knowledge of Congress and SSA to advance our cause.

FLCPRR Support

In 2002, Dr. Paul Deutsch founded the Foundation for Life Care Planning Research (FLCPR), which funded numerous research projects from 2002 to 2016. In 2019, the Foundation was reincorporated in affiliation with IARP as the Foundation for Life Care Planning and Rehabilitation Research (FLCPRR), with the goal of funding both life care planning and rehabilitation related research.

With a vision of being recognized as a leader of innovative, valid, and reliable research, the FLCPRR remains committed to supporting rehabilitation practitioners, clinicians and students who perform disability related research. The Foundation will present annual awards to recognize individuals who make a significant contribution to the body of research or otherwise have a positive influence on research in life care planning and rehabilitation services.

Journals Support

We all know that the RehabPro and the Journal of Life Care Planning are the best professional publications in our profession.

Receiving these journals throughout the year is one of the best benefits of membership in the Organization. Our editors work very hard bringing each issue to publication, and their stipends do not reflect the amount of hard work they put in.

How many times have you used one of the published articles to support your professional opinion?
